Pectinase for the enzymatic pretreatment of cotton
PERIZYM BSN can be used for the enzymatic pretreatment of cotton.
PERIZYM BSN is a special enzyme formulation for pretreatment of cotton. The pectins contained in the primary cell wall of cotton can easily be removed without applying high amount of alkali due to their enzymatic degradation.
Compared to the common alkaline pretreatment PERIZYM BSN offers the following advantages:
-good and even hydrophilic fabric surface
-cellulose structure remains unchanged
-improved soft handle
-reduction of the COD and BOD values as well as reduced salt content in the effluent
-reduction of rinsing baths
-PERIZYM BSN is easily biodegradable
