In textile printing, there are various standard printing techniques for the continuous printing of fabrics with printing stencils, such as rotary and flat screen printing. There are either dyestuffs or pigments used for the color design. An alternative to conventional printing methods that is becoming increasingly popular is digital printing with inkjet printers. There are almost no creative limits for designers when it comes to digital printing.

Textile Auxiliaries for Different Printing Methods

Our line of printing products consists of numerous textile auxiliaries for various printing methods.

Classical Printing Processes with Dyestuffs

The dye groups used in textile printing differ depending on the substrate to be printed on. Reactive printing pastes are applicable for the classical printing of cellulosic fibers. Cellulosic fibers can also be printed with vat, sulfur and direct dyes. Printing pastes with acid dyes are suitable for wool, silk and polyamide. Polyester is usually printed with disperse dyes. After printing, the fabrics are dried, steamed and then washed to remove excess dyestuff and thickener from the textile.

Pigment Printing

In principle, all types of fibers can be printed in pigment printing. The advantage of pigment printing is that the goods only have to be dried and the binder system crosslinked. There is no need to post-wash. In addition to conventional pigments, this process can also be used to apply neon, luster or glitter pigments as well as 3-D effect prints.

For textile printing, we produce formaldehyde-free fluorescent PERILEN pigments which are applied for environmentally friendly pigment printing. These neon pigments are processed together with a suitable binder system to prepare printing pastes, which are printed onto the pretreated textiles, fabrics or ready-made garments using rotary or flat-screen printing.

Inkjet Printing

In order to be able to print woven and knitted fabrics by inkjet, they must be pretreated properly for digital printing. This is the only way to achieve brilliant and sharp prints.

Our Range of Printing Auxiliaries

Our printing range includes numerous printing auxiliaries:

  • PERIPRINT – Synthetic Thickeners
  • PERIGUM – Native Thickeners
  • PERICOAT – Binders and Crosslinkers for Pigment Printing
  • PERILEN FL – Fluorescent Neon Pigments
  • PERIJET – Auxiliaries for Inkjet Printing
  • PERLAVIN – Soaping Agents to Improve Fastness Level of Reactive Prints
  • PERFIXAN – Aftertreatment Agent to Improve Fastness Levels

PERIPRINT – Synthetic Thickeners

Our PERIPRINT polymer thickeners are suitable for application in pigment printing pastes for fashionable and technical fabrics as well as for home textiles. In addition, we offer special PERIPRINT printing auxiliaries for regulating the viscosity and improving the running properties of pigment pastes.

PERIGUM – Native Printing Thickeners

PERIGUM printing thickeners are native thickeners based on regenerative raw materials used for printing pastes. The PERIGUM product range includes natural polymers based on renewable raw materials such as starch ether, sodium alginate, galactomannan derivatives and tamarind ether. Our thickeners can be easily washed out in the post-print wash. Depending on the desired viscosity, the fineness of the stencils, the dye class selected and the pH value of the printing pastes, we recommend varying thickeners or a combination of different PERIGUM types.

PERICOAT – Binders and Crosslinkers for Pigment Printing

PERICOAT binders are characterized by soft, flexible films. In combination with our PERICOAT CROSSLINKERs, pigment prints with very good fastness and wash resistance are obtained. For particularly special prints we offer compounds which can be handled easily and safely.

PERILEN FL – Fluorescent Neon Pigments

The formaldehyde-free neon pigments of our PERILEN FL range are characterized by their high brightness, luminosity and radiance. You can order the fluorescent organic pigments as pigment powder or as water-based liquid formulations for pigment printing.

PERIJET – Auxiliaries for Inkjet Printing

For inkjet printing, woven and knitted fabrics need a special preparation. Brilliant and sharp prints can only be obtained with such specific inkjet pretreatment. For the various fiber substrates, we offer our special PERIJET auxiliaries which are applied on the textiles and then dried. Following this pretreatment, the fabrics can be digitally printed on an inkjet printer with the appropriate reactive, acid or disperse inks.

PERLAVIN – Soaping Agents for Fastness Improvement

For reactive prints on native and regenerated cellulosic fibers as well as for prints on polyamide, it is important to properly rinse and soap the printed fabrics. PERLAVIN aftersoaping agents help to thoroughly remove unfixed dye from the fibers.

PERFIXAN – Fixing Agents for Fastness Improvement

Our special PERFIXAN fastness enhancers, after-treatment and fixing agents significantly improve the color and contact fastnesses of dyeings and prints.
